So don't worry, I’m not going to give you the same recycled breathing exercises you can find in a thirty-second search. We do things differently here. Emotional regulation is skill, not personality. Our work together is structured like a training program, moving from initial assessment to high-level mastery and long-term accountability.
Our first meeting is about establishing the foundation. We discuss where you are and where you want to be.
Personal Assessment: We identify the specific triggers and "blind spots" that currently disrupt your focus or composure.
Gap Analysis: We discuss your current regulation habits. What’s working and what’s not.
Target Setting: We define exactly what success looks like for you. Whether it’s staying calm in high-stakes meetings or being more present at home, we set the mission parameters here.
This is the "active training" phase. We move beyond theory and start building the neurological "muscle" required to stay centered under pressure.
Skill Acquisition: I introduce specific, male-centered techniques such as Cognitive Reappraisal (reframing the "threat"), Physiological Anchoring (controlling the nervous system), and Notice & Name protocols.
Iterative Practice: Between sessions, you apply these tools in real-world scenarios. We then review your week to see what worked and where we need to adjust.
Mentorship & Feedback: I provide direct, honest feedback on your progress, helping you refine your style so the techniques feel natural, not forced.
Once the foundation is solid, we shift from "learning" to "maintenance." This phase is about ensuring your new skills hold up under extreme stress and over long periods.
Operational Readiness: We conduct regular "checks" on your emotional baseline to prevent old patterns from creeping back in.
High-Level Accountability: I act as your sounding board and accountability partner, ensuring you stay committed to the standards we set in Phase 1.
Reassessment: As your life changes (new job, family shifts, etc.), we recalibrate your strategies to meet the new demands of your environment.

Skill-Based: You leave every session with a tool you can use five minutes later.
